Key Wellness Tips for New Jersey Families

The professionals at Amorycare of New Jersey have developed senior care wellness tips for our caregivers to follow, as well as families to learn from.

  1. Prioritize personal care: Research shows that good hygiene practices diminish the chance of contracting illnesses. Some of the many practices to stay on top of include handwashing, changing clothes, brushing teeth, and bathing. One of our caregivers specializing in personal care can help your loved one practice good hygiene practices such as these.

  2. Practice social distancing: The CDC reports that one of the most common ways that COVID-19 spreads is from person-to-person. For example, if an infected person coughs or sneezes, it can infect another person lying six-feet-away or less. As a result, your loved one should practice social distancing to diminish the chance of contracting the illness. To help your loved one stay at home, our caregivers can perform important tasks such as grocery shopping and picking up medication.

  3. Keep the home clean: Depending on the surface, COVID-19 can linger on it for up to three days. It’s important to keep surfaces disinfected, especially those that are touched frequently. An Angel companion can help your loved one keep on top of the housekeeping and ensure that everything stays clean.
