Are your services available in assisted living facilities and nursing homes?

Yes, we provide services wherever clients reside.

How do I get started?
It's easy!

Once the basic information is received we can arrange a time to schedule a complimentary assessment to determine next steps

What happens if my caregiver is sick?

No problem. We orient multiple employees who can meet your care needs. If one home health aide, nurse, or caregiver is sick, another is normally available

How do I select a care provider?

As in selecting any healthcare provider, patients and families should ask questions and make an informed selection, based on their specific care needs. Some of these questions are:

  • How long has the provider been serving the community?

  • Does the provider select and train its employees and are they background checked and insured?

  • Does the provider include the patient and his or her family members in developing the plan of care? Are they involved in making care plan changes?

  • What procedures does this provider have in place to handle emergencies? Are its caregivers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week?

  • How does this provider ensure patient confidentiality?

  • Is the patient's course of treatment documented?

Who pays for the service?

There are multiple ways to pay for private duty home care. The most common methods for covering the cost of private duty home care is long term care insurance benefits or out of pocket. We are happy to work with your insurance company to discuss your benefit plan and thus provide information to you and your family so that you can make an informed decision on your care needs. We will also assist you by billing the insurance company directly.

Are your care providers insured and bonded?

Yes. Every caregiver is a AmoryCare employee. To help ensure the safety and well being of our clients, we perform a criminal history background clearance and then cover each caregiver with general liability and workers' compensation insurance.

How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?

We adhere to all applicable federal and state guidelines related to privacy of personal and healthcare information. This starts once we have a formal services agreement, before a caregiver even comes to your family member's home. The written service agreement stipulates the exact restrictions on the use of your information, which clarifies that even unauthorized individuals will not be given access to information without a client's – or legally authorized representative's – formal consent.
Your information is never sold to a third party under any circumstances. In fact, only the office personnel and caregivers who are directly involved in your services will have access to information related to the care of your loved one.

Do I pay the care provider directly

No. You (or an authorized representative) are only invoiced after the completion of services. Usually, this happens weekly. You never have to pay caregivers directly. And you'll never be asked to pay an additional fee to any employee

What are the cost of your services?

Every family we serve receives a Custom Care Plan specific to their needs and budget. Several factors help determine the exact cost:

Number of hours of care per week
Level of home care services received (non-medical, disease specific, etc.)
Area of the country where services are provided

Our home care services are typically billed on an hourly basis. This makes it easy to make a Custom Care Plan for you. To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact our office. We’ll set up an in-home consultation to begin discussing a Custom Care Plan and the rates for each service on your plan.

We always provide a written rate sheet prior to initiating care services. Rates will never be increased without at least thirty days notice
