Service Description

Live in care is a professional elderly support, that enables your loved one to live independently surrounded by beloved pets and visited by family without restrictions. Amorycare hand picks the carer that will live in client’s home thus providing one-to-one help. We know that special needs require special attention and care. Carers we work with are able to meet the needs of those who suffer from various conditions. They are highly trained and equipped to face all the challenges. Live-in Care functions as 12 hour care at a flat rate. The caregiver is given an 8-hour period to sleep at night ( at least five uninterrupted hours of sleep). Although his / her sleep may be disrupted to provide care throughout the night (with a max of 2 disturbances). In addition, the caregiver is given a 4-hour intermittent break during daytime hours. Live-In Caregivers Duties: • Follows care plan as set forth by Registered Nurse Supervisor. • Prepares and serves meals according to client’s dietary needs and assists clients with feeding if so needed. • Assists client with ambulation and with transfers from bed to chair or wheelchair. (Registered Nurse Supervisor will assess transfers for both client and employee safety). • Helps with client’s personal grooming including care of hair, teeth and mouth, dressing, shaving and nail care. • Provides or assists with full or partial bath in the tub/shower or the bed. • Remind client to take medications • Light housekeeping and assistance with laundry. • Accompanies client to medical appointments or social gatherings when necessary. • Immediate assistance in case of emergency, including communicating with loved ones. • Companionship and comfort that comes from the same familiar and friendly faces each day. All live in caregivers are : • Licensed and certified via the State of New Jersey in the state • Trained via Amorycare Registered Nurses/ Facility trained • Covered with Amorycare's company liability and worker’s compensation insurance • Covered via Amorycare payroll vendor (ADP) for all payroll and taxes
